Audobon Society Trails
Lincoln Woods
The Lincoln Woods in Lincoln, RI is example of walking/hiking trails that have been meticulously maintained for the benefit of the Rhode Island community. Having the chance to walk the trails gave us the idea of drafting up a maintenance plan to ensure the trails behind Bryant are properly cared for
When the original plan was to locate and create signage for the ecological landmark found in the back of campus, the signs found at Chase Farm in Lincoln, RI was our inspiration for our initial sign prototypes. Chase Farms also added to our research pertaining to the best way to secure the signs into the ground.
Visiting the Audubon Society walking trails in North Smithfield, RI was the driving force behind changing the direction of our project. The trails behind the Audubon Library are clearly mapped, identifiably labeled and maliciously maintained, sparking our enthusiasm to implement some of those very characteristics into the trails behind Bryant University.

In order to create signs for the key landmarks along the path, we found it necessary to first map out the walking trails behind Bryant University
The Under Armour "Track my Run" app allowed us locate, map, and track the walking trails

When it came time to create the signs for the trails, we researched the best materials to create durable, environmentally safe signs that would sustain the harsh New England winters
Through the help of an online sign generator , we were able to prototype robust, aluminum signs that are ready for purchasing
