Trees have a great impact on our environment, and continued deforestation will lead to great problems future generations will have to face. Some effects of deforestation are the loss of habitat for many species, a greater amount of greenhouse gases reaching the atmosphere, which will speed up the effects of global warming, and forest soils drying up leading to eventual barren deserts. While some deforestation is inevitable, there are ways it can be controlled. Certain areas can be preserved to sustain the ecosystems and wildlife within. Creating and maintaining parks and hiking trails can be a way to preserve these areas and build an awareness and appreciation for nature around us.
